SeedHammer – Controller

To operate the SeedHammer a Controller is required. The Controller is a device that is based on the SeedSigner hardware but the software is fully independent an published as Free Open Source Software on Github.

Choose between the following options:

• Preassembled
• DIY Kit
• Case only

This controller can be assembled independently by sourcing the following general purpose hardware:

• 1x Raspberry Pi zero (without WIFI/Bluetooth)
• 1x Waveshare LCD display 1.3 inch 240×240 pixel
• 1x Raspberry Pi Zero camera
• 1x 2×20 GPIO pin header
• 1x 4GB micro SD card
• 1x 3D printed “SeedHammer Controller” case
• 1x M2.5 nut
• 1x MICRO USB CABLE

If you choose to build yourself be aware that both microUSB ports must be accessable (not compatible with most SeedSigner cases).

The SeedHammer is a metal engraving machine especially suitable for backing up bitcoin multisig wallets onto steel – while also supporting singlesig in credit card size, suitable for hot or lukewarm storage and as gift cards.

Self-contained Multisig Backup
For the first time a backup solution solves the pitfall of multisig. It is not enough to backup the shares; the descriptor also needs to be backed up.
